Erath 4th of July Junior Pageants

Contracts are available to view on the website with the forms. Queens will sign a contract following the crowning.

Please note that your contestant number will be chosen through a drawing by the contestants during rehearsal.

Entry Fee is a donation to the Erath 4th of July Association and are not refundable after the deadline date.

FEES: Junior Divisions Contestants – $65.00
  • Cash or Check/Money Order (payable to Erath 4th of July Association) (by the May 28th deadline)
ADMISSION: $5 Admission or $8 Bracelet
  • (Admission to be paid by everyone except the contestant. The $8 bracelet allows you admission to ALL of the pageants that day including Miss)
  • Admission can be paid at the door or online. (Please show proof of purchase at the door if you choose to pay online.)
AGE GROUPS:
  • Little Miss 4th of July: Must be between the ages of 5 and 7 years old.
  • Young Miss 4th of July: Must be between the ages of 8 and 10 years old.
  • Junior Miss 4th of July: Must be between the ages of 11 and 13 years old.
ATTIRE:
  • Little & Young Miss contestants: Age Appropriate Pageant Dress
  • Junior Miss contestants: Age Appropriate Long Formal
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPECTATIONS:
  • All contestants must be single, never married, born a woman and live in Louisiana.
  • All Birthdays must be on or before May 28, 2024.
  • Contestants may not hold any title (other than school related). Queens may not compete for any other title other than school.
  • All Queens must be willing to take part in events throughout the year as determined by the Directors of this contest.
  • All Queens must attend events such as: TV appearance (if any), the Festival Fais Do Do Night on July 3rd, make themselves available for the entire day of the 4th of July for events such as the Grand Marshal’s Reception, ride in the parade on a float provided by the Association, radio and television appearances, etc. The Queens’ schedule of events will be coordinated by the Directors of this pageant. Final details of some events may not have been available as of the printing of this form and will be made available as soon as possible.
  • All Queens (and parents) must sign a contract detailing responsibilities and requirements.
  • Appropriate clothing and conduct will be maintained whenever representing the Association.
  • Contestants should come dressed. There are no dressing rooms available, only bathroom facilities which must be kept clear at all times. Curling Irons, hot rollers and such devices may not be used in the building! Contestants competing from out of town may want to consider one of the local hotels but must make their own arrangements.

  • Little & Young Miss Contestants should be prepared to introduce themselves on stage. A 30-second introduction is optional, but at least the contestant’s name and number. Junior Miss Contestants are required to give a 30-second on stage introduction.

  • Contestants will be briefly interviewed prior to the on-stage presentation. Contestants will be wearing their on-stage attire. This is informal and will allow the judges to briefly get to know the contestants’ personalities.
AWARDS:
  • All Queens will be presented with:
    Crown, Banner, award and will ride in the 4th of July Parade upon a float provided by the Association.
  • First Runner Up and Maid will receive a medallion; in addition, court members will ride in the 4th of July parade on a float provided by the Association.
  • All Queens are welcome and encouraged to travel to other festivals and events and represent the Erath 4th of July Association and our celebration.
