2000 4th of July Ambassador
Bob Moore


Erath native Bob Moore grew up speaking and understanding both English and French. Bob graduated from Erath High School in 1982 and the University of Southwestern Louisiana with a degree in mass communications.

He is also a veteran of the United States Army where he acquired the rank of Specialists.

Bob began working at KLFY in 1995 after working at KROF radio in Abbeville and KANE in New Iberia.

Bob is active in the community. He has served as master of ceremonies in the past for the “Le Cajun” Music Awards at Blackham Coliseum. Bob has also served as the Cotton King for the Ville Platte Cotton Festival in 2000 and is the president of the Lafayette Civitan Club for the 2000-2001 year.

Bob was active in the town's Erath Centennial Ceremonies in 1999. He was honored by the city of Erath in 2000 as their Ambassador for the fourth of July celebration. Bob has participated in the Memory Walk for the Alzheimer’s Association and has served as the Celebrity Chairperson.

Bob is married to the former Tammy Pacetti of New Iberia. They have two children, Jude Michael and Jordan Francois. they live in the LeBlanc community, which is located between Lafayette and Erath.
